Pendants lamps are an excellent example of functional design: the design of the fitting and the technology used are perfectly intergrated. Appropriate light sources in combined with shades provides a stream of light necessary for clear illumination of a room.

Pendant lamps are available in different diameters and could be combined with standard, gas-discharge or energy lamps.
